Detailed Itinerary

Pick up from JKI Airport, Nairobi where you will met by our professional safari guide, then head south towards the Maasai Mara reserve. On the way there is a stopover at the escarpment and here you have a chance to admire the Great Rift Valley then proceed to Maasai Mara where you will arrive in time for Lunch. After checking in at your accommodation you will enjoy your Lunch as you prepare for your evening Game Drive. After the evening game drive you will have dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the next day.
Lunch
After breakfast, you prepare to leave for the full day game drive at the reserve. On this day the chances of seeing the big five animals will be high. The animals include lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. Inside the national reserve you are able to enjoy bird watching since there are various types of birds available. Aside from the big five there are chances of seeing other animals like the zebras, antelopes, warthogs, jackals, giraffes and the wildebeest. On arrival at the Mara River you will be able to see the crocodiles and if you are lucky you might the Wildebeest migration – crossing from Serengeti to Masai mara. Enjoy you packed lunch you enjoy the rich savannah grassland and the beautiful landscape. After the game drive you can organize with guide to visit the Masai village where you will learn more about the Masai culture. Then back to the hotel dinner and overnight.
Breakfast & Dinner
Depart the hotel after breakfast and head to Lake Nakuru. You will arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. You will enjoy an evening game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park –the park is very much know for large numbers of flamingo birds, we also have the endangered Rothschild Giraffes, Rhinos (both black &white rhinos), Lions, Leopard, buffaloes, zebras, and variety of antelopes. The park is covered with beautiful wooded (yellow acacia trees) and bushy grasslands. Also experience a lot of bird watching. Then head back to the lodge and enjoy your dinner and overnight.
Breakfast & Dinner
Enjoy your breakfast then depart the lodge heading to Amboseli – it’s a long drive (4 to 5 hours depending with traffic). Lunch is on the way in local restaurants. Arrive at the Amboseli National park for an afternoon game drive. The park its set on just on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, where we have clear view of the peak – Uhuru peak/ the highest point in Africa. Also known for its high number of African Elephants. Also enjoy beautiful view of the sunset on Africa horizon on savannah grassland. Then exit the park and proceed to the hotel for checkin/ dinner and overnight.
Breakfast
After taking breakfast you head to the park for a full day game drive. As the sunrise we have beautiful clear view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will also get a chance to enjoy the animals which include the big five animals while having the highest mountain creating a beautiful background. The herds of elephants that make Amboseli national park famous will be seen. You will also get a chance to enjoy bird watching in the park with the variety of birds that are available in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunch at the view point you enjoy the beautiful savannah landscape. After the game park drive back to the lodge for relaxation, then dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the next day.
Breakfast
Early breakfast then depart hotel and proceed to Emali train station to board at 0900hrs to Mombasa – 3 hours train drive to Mombasa. You find vehicle waiting to transfer you to Watamu. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon visits; *Visit watamu village, Gede Ruins, Then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast
After breakfast enjoy your day. Visit; Golden beach, Marafa Canyon, Canoe ride, Robinson Island… Then be transferred to the hotel a Mombasa for overnight –nearer to the train station.
Breakfast
Early wake up call for breakfast then depart the hotel and be transferred to Mombasa train station for a 0700hrs train to Nairobi in first class tickets. Arrive at the Nairobi at 1300hrs where you find the vehicle waiting to pick you up to a hotel near to the aiport for late lunch. Then drop off at the aiport at 1800hrs for your flight. Option *You can book for a hotel day room near to the airport for refreshing before the flight- Extra charge.

Booking conditions:-

Before you book one of our tours, please have a look at our Tanzania Safari booking conditions here below, to have a clear picture of the terms of booking with African spoonbill tours. Please note that the booking conditions may change time to time and may vary from one tour to another depending on the terms that are set by partner service providers like airlines, and accommodation properties as well as the government regulations.

  1. Bookings

All confirmations of bookings shall be made by email and upon the filling of our booking form.

All Bookings will be considered and recognized as confirmed only after the booking is accompanied by a 25% deposit of the total cost of tour 4 months before client’s arrival. The balance within 45 days before client’s arrival in Tanzania The deposit shall be considered valid after acknowledgement and confirmation of receipt by our Bank in Tanzania.

  1. Cancellation and Refunds

All tours and or service cancellations must be in writing either by email and shall be effective only after receipt and acknowledgement by writing by African spoonbill tours Sales Staff.

Cancellations done between;

  • More than 60 Days before arrival: Full Credit Note issued for future travel.
  • 60 Days and 45 Days before arrival: 50% of the tour cost shall be charged.
  • 44 Days and 31 Days before arrival: 60% of the tour cost shall charge.
  • 30 Days and Arrival day: 100% of the tour cost shall be charged.

There shall be no refunds for the below:

  •   Any travel time lost or any kind of substitution of services
  •   Itineraries and travel programs amended after their departure.
  •  Any arise of circumstances that shall be beyond the company’s control, and that shall require some alternative measures and arrangements with the sole purpose to ensure the further participation and completion of your tour.
  •  Lack of show up by travelers at any accommodation property, activity or service or segment of the tour with no notice in prior.
  • Premature termination of your tour after commencement of the tour activities.

  1.  Payment

Since payments are done mostly in US Dollars in the lodges, flights and Park entry fees. All our bills shall be in US Dollars. Payments shall be done by money transfer to our account in Tanzania.

  1.  Amendments

Any amendments done on a confirmed tour shall not be charged with African spoonbill tours shall however charge any charges that will be above the cost of the earlier booked services. (Price Supplements).

  1. Terms and conditions

These are the general terms and conditions that will govern the relationship between you and the company; African spoonbill tours there shall be no alterations to these terms and conditions that may be done by the sales staff of the company, representative or any other employees unless it is done in writing by an authorized officer of the Company. African spoonbill tours reserves the rights to subcontract part or the whole service offered and paid for.

  1. Disputes

In case of the unlikely circumstances and or causes of any complaints while on tour it must be brought into attention of the company immediately. The company will do its best to resolve the situation promptly.
