About the Destination

Udzungwa is unique because it lacks roads, preserving its status as a true wilderness. It holds the second-largest biodiversity of any national park in Africa, with an altitude range that spans from 250m to over 2,500m. It is world-famous for its endemic primates, specifically the Iringa Red Colobus and the Sanje Crested Mangabey. The forest is so biologically rich that new species, such as the Udzungwa Forest Partridge, are still being discovered by scientists today.
