About the Destination
Bwindi covers 331 sq. km of steep ridges and deep valleys, with altitudes ranging from 1,160m to 2,607m. The park is uniquely divided into four distinct trekking sectors—Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo—each offering a different perspective of the forest. Beyond gorillas, it is a haven for 120 mammal species, including forest elephants and chimpanzees, and is ranked as one of Africa’s top birding destinations with 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
