About the Destination

Part of the Aberdare Mountain Range, this park peaks at 4,001m (Ol Donyo Lesatima). It is historically significant as the place where Princess Elizabeth ascended to the British throne while staying at Treetops Lodge. The park is a vital water catchment area for Kenya and is home to the "Big Five," including a significant population of black rhinos and melanistic (black) leopards.
