Join us on this captivating 6-day safari adventure where you’ll have the incredible opportunity to witness the magnificent wildebeest and zebra herds as they make their way to Lake Ndutu. Situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area and a part of the Serengeti ecosystem, this location is a prime destination from December to April. January, in particular, offers a unique spectacle as it is the best time to witness the calving season. Prepare to be amazed as the herds spread over across the vast short-grass plains, with predators lurking nearby, ready to seize their hunting opportunities. Throughout the safari, you will explore the breathtaking landscapes of Tarangire, the southern Serengeti, the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, and the enchanting Lake Manyara. Get ready for an unforgettable journey through Tanzania’s wildlife-rich wonders.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival in Arusha, you will be warmly greeted by African Spoonbill Tours representative who will transfer you to your accommodation. Take this time to relax and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
In the morning we will start our journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. As you cross the Maasai plains, you’ll encounter vibrant Maasai communities and observe the diverse wildlife that inhabits the park. From the open roof of our state of the art safari Vehicle, we will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and life-giving Tarangire River, endeavoring to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, and more. Enjoy a game drive and later settle into your accommodation for the night.
Day 3: South Serengeti (Ndutu)
Set off after breakfast to the magnificent Lake Ndutu region in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. This area is renowned for the annual wildebeest migration and the mesmerizing calving season. Witness the remarkable sight of wildebeest and zebras spread across the short-grass plains, with predators on the prowl. After an exhilarating game drive, retreat to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: South Serengeti (Ndutu)
Embark on a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, exploring its diverse habitats, including swamps, woodland, and soda lakes. Experience the awe-inspiring sight of wildebeest calves being born during the synchronized birthing season. Marvel at the resilience of these young creatures as they quickly adapt to life on the plains. Return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.
Day 5: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, journey from Ndutu to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this natural wonder and encounter a pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife. Spot wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an array of bird species. Keep an eye out for the elusive black rhino. Enjoy a full afternoon exploring the diverse landscapes before retiring to your accommodation in Karatu.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Embark on a final adventure as you visit Lake Manyara National Park. Discover the park’s unique landscapes, including the salt lake, lush woodlands, and baobab-clad cliffs. Observe monkeys, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and if luck permits, witness lions perched in the trees. After lunch, return to Arusha, where your safari concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of East Africa’s wild wonders
